The Shape-shifting Pin Table is a reconfigurable motorized pin-array that turns urban data into tangible topographies. Inspired by the digital age's surge in hardware–software data visualization, the concept is realised as an original, engineered system. It converts spatial, temporal, and programmatic datasets into intuitive physical models, enabling planners, educators, and communities to prototype, compare, and communicate scenarios. By combining motorized pins, projection mapping, and a low-barrier interface, the Pin Table makes urban analytics immediately legible and usable for collaborative planning, participatory engagement, and faster evidence-based decisions.
